In this post, we will talk about the latest news Google has implemented in one of its preferred tools: Google My Business.

A long time ago that Google allows to make posts with a limit of 300 words that included a link, which served to promote an offer or post of our blog.

But now, Google has gone much further with this section allowing us to publish offers or products with prices and dates of the promotion. This can help us appear during local searches in Google Maps and who knows that perhaps we generate some other sale.

Product options

In the products section, Google My Business allows us to put different information about the product we want to add to our file. It allows us to place an outstanding image, a title, a price or price range. And as an additional part, we can write a more detailed description of the 1,300-word product, plus adding an action button.

Bidding options

In this section, we have more fields to fill out. From top to bottom we have:  the offer title, start and end dates, a description field of 1,500 words, a field to add a promotional coupon, a link to exchange the offer (here, ideally, with programming you create a link that causes the coupon to be added directly to the cart when entering the web) and, finally, a section to take users to the terms and conditions of the offer, or to our website.

Featured services

In the same way Google had opted to create a section for eCommerce in which they can highlight their products or offers, now includes a new section for service companies to highlight their main services in its Google My Business tab.

In this section, the fields to fill in are the service name section (massages, facials treatments, etc.), name of the item or service, price and, finally, a field to add a longer description (maximum of 1,000 words).

Messaging system

During these years, there have been more websites that have joined the fashion of web chats as a means of communicating with users, as well as with prominent icons of WhatsApp.

For the same reason that these features are added to web pages, it is also very interesting to consider using this Google messaging system. Although for now there are not many people used to see this section in the listings of Google Maps companies since it is a very recent functionality and there are very few companies that use it. It is a new communication channel with our users, clients or public of interest and also free of charge.

To use this section of Google My Business it is necessary to download the Apple Store or Google Play application. Simply, when you install it on your mobile you will have access to this service, and you can answer all the queries that come from the Google My Business tab in Google searches or the Google Maps tab.
